Gemjo, our Dutch Barge (Clipper) 30m long and 5m wide, is moored in the Port Jacques-Yves Cousteau, Castelsarrasin (82100) in the Tarn and Garonne, France.
She has been converted into a comfortable home, where we live aboard all year round.
Halfway between Agen and Toulouse (by bicycle) Gemjo Barge offers you a welcome break.
We propose two cosy and comfortable double cabins with breakfast included.
Each cabin has shower and private toilet facilities. Breakfast is all homemade, local and organic with fresh seasonal produce.
There is a shady terrace on deck ~ a space for breakfast in the morning sun, or just for relaxing with a view over the port.
Inside, there is a comfortable sitting area for the cooler mid-season evenings. Take a peak at our board games and bookshelf.

Blue Cabin

The Barge:
We will welcome you with pleasure from 5pm onwards…
You have a choice of restaurants in Castelsarrasin walking distance from the boat, for your evening meal.
Castelsarrasin has a traditional French market every Thursday morning, with a few stalls also on Saturdays and Sundays. Restaurants offer a choice of traditional cuisine as well as menus from further afield.
We are right on the cycle track on the Canal de Garonne, not far from Moissac with its Abbaye Saint-Pierre and Cloisters (UNESCO listed) with the Saint-Jacques-de-Compostelle Pilgrim Path. The museum Espace Firmin Bouisset (one of the pioneers of modern publicity) or the "Pente d'Eau" / water-slope machine at Montech are some of the excellent reasons to take a break with us.
