Overstrand has wonderful golden sandy beaches framed by rugged cliffs, offering visitors breathtaking views and ample opportunity for leisurely strolls or picking up the Norfolk Coastal Path for a longer walk. The beach is perfect for families, with its shallow waters ideal for paddling and building sandcastles. The town is steeped in history and was popular with the rich and famous in the latter part of the 19th century, who built holiday homes here, leading to its nickname as "the village of millionaires". Cliff Top Café overlooks the sea and is renowned for their delicious breakfasts, home cooked food, locally caught seafood, cakes and pastries. The White Horse pub serves excellent food with an emphasis on locally sourced produce. The traditional Sea Marge Hotel is also well worth a visit and serves food throughout the day in the bar. The village store and post office is less than a 2 minute walk away. Nearby Cromer has an abundance of independent shops, cafes, restaurants and pubs to choose from. Cromer Pier has the UK's only remaining traditional end of pier variety show, taking place each Summer and Winter. Cromer has a train station with access to Norwich and beyond.
