Hello! I am Amy and I live with my husband and 4 kids in Pennsylvania. We host a flat in The Highland Club at Fort Augustus, Scotland on the banks of Loch Ness! Fort Augustus is a charming Highland town with all the basic amenities you will need. There is a small grocery/convenience store/post office/pharmacy as well as multiple gift shops, restaurants and bars dotted along the Caledonian Canal and the famous lock system of Fort Augustus. The true star of Fort Augustus though is the famous Loch Ness. Whether or not a monster lives in its depths, the lake is stunning, mysterious, wild and inspiring. Take the Loch Ness cruise, speedboat cruise or kayak/canoe the loch yourself for an amazing up close Nessie hunt. Alternatively, explore the hills and valleys of The Highlands by heading out of town on one of many trails. Magical forests, windy glens and fairylands await! Parking is free at The Highland Club and there are multiple parking lots. As you enter through the allee of trees, you can drive around towards the left of the abbey and park near the boathouse if spaces are available. Enter through the wall of The Old Fort and you can access your apartment via the tower entrance on the loch side of the abbey. (This sounds confusing, but your greeter at The Highland Club can show you!
