‘An Cuan’ is quite literally our haven. It reflects our style, love of the sea and our desire to relax and enjoy comfortable surroundings. We do need to point out that we live in a residential area with neighbours so our home is not suitable for parties, loud music or late nights. We trust that guests will be respectful of both our home and our lovely neighbours. The kitchen is fully equipped for chefs and bakers with high quality utensils and Belleek crockery, glasses and cutlery. The wine fridge will keep your wine cool and the hot water tap will allow you to make a cup of tea in no time! Other amenities include a dishwasher and a washing machine. The open plan living room has two, three seater sofas as well as an armchair, a large tv and a radio. There is a dining table with room for up to six and a few games to play if the weather does what Northern Irish often does! Large patio doors open onto a patio with a table and six chairs and the most gorgeous view of the sea. Down the stairs from the patio is a garden and some seating, along with a small barbecue. The house has an ‘upside down’ arrangement to make the best of the sea view so all three bedrooms, and the bathrooms are downstairs. At the back of the house is the master bedroom with a king size bed, en-suite shower room and patio doors which open into the garden. Bedroom 2 has a double bed and direct access to the main bathroom with a bath and separate shower and bedroom 3 has a double sofa bed and smart TV. All beds are dressed with designer bed linen and the towels are from Ulster Weavers. Throughout the property you will find handmade artisan soft furnishings and our eclectic collection of ornaments and artwork, some from local artists. To keep you cosy, there is underfloor heating throughout the property and a basket in the living room with blankets which can be taken onto the balcony for star-gazing with a glass of wine on cooler evenings.

Welcome to ‘An Cuan’, ‘The Haven’! We love to travel, in Ireland and beyond. Our best adventures have always included somewhere comfortable and relaxing to return to each evening and we hope that we have created this at ‘An Cuan’.

Portstewart is a wonderful town, whatever your interests, and is accessible to all that is fantastic about Northern Ireland! The town boasts many coffee shops, eateries, bars and independent retailers as well as a stunning beach and excellent golf courses. Within 30 minutes drive there are several more beautiful beaches to explore, the Giant’s Causeway, a world heritage site, as well as the brooding outline of Dunluce castle and more magnificent golf courses. If you are interested in whiskey, a trip to Bushmills distillery is a must! For families with young children, there is a fun park in Portrush and, wherever you venture you will not be far from ice-cream! The town of Coleraine has frequent rail links to both Derry (approx. 50 minute journey time) and Belfast (approx. 90 minute journey time) for those who would like to explore a little further afield.
