Micky and I live very local to the property and have enjoyed the New Forest and Woodgreen village for over 20 years. We enjoy horse riding on the forest, walks and photography. The village has a great local pub and an award winning community shop. We love sitting at Castle hill a few minutes walk from Avondale to watch the sun go down over the Avon river valley. We often take sundowners for refreshment. An early morning walk along Godshill and you are likely to see horses, deer and a huge variety of birds. This side of the forest is quieter and has better communication links to other local towns and attractions. Our three boys have all grown up in Woodgreen and they are all outdoor people enjoying the same activities plus swimming and kayaking in the river.
