Balachladaich B&B is the only B&B right on the shores on south Loch Ness. Purpose built as a B&B, so giving guests plenty of privacy, each of our three luxurious rooms has a patio or balcony overlooking the Loch - perfect for enjoying one of our amazing sunsets, or keeping an eye out for Nessie! Breakfast is a relaxed continental affair - help yourself from our stocked kitchen. You will find home made granola and muffins, a choice of other cereals, yoghurts, milk, juice and fruit. You have access to our private beach, where you can relax, swim if you're brave enough, or enjoy a BBQ. We are also home to Loch Ness Alpacas!
John and Fiona have been running Balachladaich B&B since 2013, and look forward to showing you our fabulous spot in the Highlands. When not working, we love to travel ourselves. Last year, having been inspired by meeting guests from all corners of the globe, we took 8 months out to do a round the world trip with our two children. We love getting out and about in the Highlands, and Fiona can often be found walking the dog or riding her horse in the local woodlands.
Only 8 miles from Inverness, we are ideally situated for day trips to any part of the Highlands, and offer a tranquil space for you to return to after a busy day. Without going too far from home, you can explore the Hidden Gems of south Loch Ness, or head to the tourist attractions of the north side. A little further away, you can visit Culloden Battlefield and the historic Clava Cairns. Travel 50 minutes to the activity hub of Aviemore and the Cairngorms, or go a little further afield and explore the beautiful lochs and hills of the West Coast and Skye. We are also ideally situated for a stop at the beginning or end of the North Coast 500.
