Bay House is a Victorian villa built circa 1870. Originally known as Randolph Villa it became the Randolph Villa Private Hotel in the 1930's and has been welcoming residents in a variety of guises ever since. We changed the name of the villa to Bay House as a nod to our beautiful Totland Bay which is an easy 500 metre walk away.
We are offering two newly renovated and tastefully refurbished first floor rooms. Breakfast is served in the guest dining room on the ground floor and we are proud of the choices that we can offer. Also in the dining room there is an 'honesty' bar and visitors may serve themselves to an array of alcoholic and non-alcoholic drinks.
Bay House is conveniently situated only a few metres from the local bus stop which has a regular service throughout the Island. There is a takeaway just around the corner and the famous Waterfront Restaurant, with its spectacular sea views and sunsets, is only a 5 minute walk. We even have the village stores opposite for any bits and pieces you may have forgotten!
Jean-Pierre and Sarah look forward to welcoming you to their home. Some of you may remember us from our previous hotel in Totland which we ran for nearly 20 years. We are looking forward to providing our guests with excellent hotel standard accommodation and home-cooked breakfasts in the relaxed and informal surroundings of our bed and breakfast.
The very pretty Totland Bay is just a 500 metre walk away with its recently renovated pier and often spectacular sunsets. The popular beach, part sand and part shingle, attracts swimmers and many water sports.
Cyclists have some interesting and varied routes around the Island and we can store cycles safely if required. The area around Bay House is superb for walkers and dog owners with many miles of coastal and downland walks to explore. The Needles Landmark Attraction and historic Old Battery are just under two miles away.
The pretty, historic harbour town of Yarmouth is just 2.5 miles away and offers an abundance of places to eat and drink as well as the Wightlink ferry crossing to Lymington in the New Forest.
