Hallsands is a quiet fishing community on the South Devon coast within the beautiful Start Bay. It is located on the coastal path between the village of Beesands and Start Point. The area is designated as an Area of Outstanding natural beauty. Beesands is a twenty minute walk away, along the coastal path or a 15 minute car drive. you will need a car or bicycle to reach Kingsbridge and Dartmouth. you can catch a seasonal passenger ferry from East Portlemouth(5miles away) across the estuary to Salcombe for a day out, (free street parking in Portlemouth) The award winning Cricket Pub in Beesands is well worth the walk and it offers a great range of local fish all year round. Torcross(45minute walk) accessible along the beach during low tide(or via coastal path 1hour) with pubs and cafe Totnes 45 minutes by car. supermarkets and cafe's
