「We stayed at Bryn Derwen as part of a two day mountain biking trip. I liked that we were able to lock our bikes in a cycle shed overnight. Also, there was no alarm shown when we turned up in a muddy state. Excellent breakfast.」

Bryn Derwen is a small family run Bed and Breakfast in the market town of Rhayader overlooking the Cambrian mountains. Just a five minute walk to the centre of Rhayader. With en suite, TV and Tea and Coffee making facilities provided for your stay. A full hearty breakfast is served in the breakfast room between 07:30 and 09:30 ( other times can be arranged to suit your requirements).

Dick Bradley is the sole owner and lives at Bryn Derwen, he is hands on owner who oversees every aspect of the business. We have recently refurbished Bryn Derwen to a very high standard.
Rhayader has numerous local pubs that offer great food and drink, from a 'quiet pint' to a 'great night out' depending on your own enjoyment, what you will find though, in all these establishments you will be met with a very warm welcome and a very friendly atmosphere. Gigrin Farm Red Kite feeding station is less than 1 mile away where you can view feeding from hides, enjoy the nature trail and have a picnic. The seaside town of Aberystwith is 34 miles if you like to spend the day at the seaside.
