Very locally, within 400m is Ffestiniog steam trains ( Tanygrasiau station ), trout lake fishing, multi pitch climbing, rambling, geo caching, bouldering, GO BELOW mines exploration company, mines heritage Lakeside cafe ( office hour only ) and the acre of our Mountainside garden/veg plot/orchard mountain steam. 3k up hill is the quirky town of Blaenau ffestiniog. Transport hub is mainline train / bus / Ffestinog steam railway. Also a baker who is a rocket scientist who has patended the Kurdish pasty, recording studio, cinema, swim pool, indoor golf, 3 story soft play, great cafes, 3 supermarkets, 3 cash points and a arts venue with strong Regae roots.
