Here at Bryntegbarn we have one en suite bedroom with a lounge and terrace exclusively for your own private use. Please note: our accommodation is bed and breakfast and is not a self catering unit. Your accommodation is completely separate and has its own private entrance and off road parking. During your stay we come into your accommodation each morning to service your room. The lounge area of your room has a dining table where you have your breakfast and, if ordered, your evening meal. We serve a continental breakfast, which includes muesli, granola, fruit and eggs. Homemade yogurt, bread and hot pastries are brought to your door each morning. Jams and preserves are homemade or locally sourced. The room has a fridge, kettle, lavazza coffee machine and toaster provided for your own exclusive use.
We also offer a variety of evening meals at an additional cost (including a vegetarian and vegan option), which can be booked in advance. Please contact us for more details.
Your room also has a flat screen TV with SKY freeview, DVD player and WiFi and there is a wood burner for colder evenings (wood provided free of charge).
Our philosophy is to grow and make as much of our own food as possible. We have a poly tunnel which produces the majority of our vegetable and salad ingredients throughout the summer months. Other food and supplies are purchased, as much as possible, from local independent retailers.
When we have any free time we will more than likely be out cycling the local roads and trails. We also offer guided cycle rides (at an additional cost) for all abilities - please contact us for more details. We have some of the best kept roads in the UK with some of the finest scenery to be enjoyed. Why not bring along your bicycles and cycle along the Mawddach trail, a traffic free route along the old Barmouth to Dolgellau railway line or just enjoy some of the local routes you can access from the door at Bryntegbarn.
The barn is situated in a rural location, approximately 1.5km (1 mile) from the village of Dyffryn Ardudwy. We are 11km (7 miles) north of Barmouth and 8km (5 miles) south of Harlech. It has spectacular views of Cardigan bay and the Lleyn Peninsula. There are numerous walks in all directions that can be taken directly from the barn including a thirty minute walk to Dyffryn's beautiful sandy beaches. Snowdonia National Park provides a diverse range of culture and activities; there is something for everyone. There are fabulous sandy beaches within walking distance and we are surrounded by mountains.
