Burgher Chapel holiday apartments form part of a former Scottish church near the banks of the River Tay. The chapel, sitting on the side of a small square, was built in 1836. However, it served as a place of worship for only a short while. In 2011 it was converted into an international Textile school with students and tutors coming from allover the world. In 2020 it opened its doors as a short holiday let. The flat was named 'Gallery Flat', because it shows still many traces of textile and art work from previous students and Jeanette herself. Many artists choose the chapel as a place for creative time out or for a retreat. The adjacent studio and Hat Museum offers additional inspiration and can be visited by request.
Jeanette is a theatrical trained Costume Designer, Textile Artist and Milliner. She has worked in theatre and opera across the world and is the founder and curator of the Wee Hat Museum here in the chapel. Lately she has returned to university to study filmmaking.
She looks forward to meeting you!
