Self-contained oak cabin with double bed, shower and kitchenette. Tucked in amongst the trees on the edge of woodland at the back of our semi-rural property, the cabin has a private deck area with views across the neighbour's field where sheep and horses graze. You may also see deer and rabbits and be serenaded by tawny owls in the evening. Good WiFi.
Walking distance of the South of England showground, Wakehurst Place, local pubs and close to Ardingly College. Breakfast items included.
We are a couple with two grown-up children.
Available by phone or text, Whatsapp or email. Usually meet guests at the property.
We are on the outskirts of Ardingly village just cross the road from the South of England showground. The botanical gardens at Wakehurst Place are walking distance (just over a mile).
The nearest pub is the Gardner's Arms which is 5 minutes walk away. Good food and very popular - advance booking recommended at the weekends. We are also in walking distance of the Missing Link micro brewery which serves food on their field. A lovely walk through the woods (45 mins).
Note that there a small shop in the village but no supermarket. It's best to bring groceries with you if you plan to cook in the cabin. Also in Ardingly village is the Ardingly Inn, cafe and Chinese takeaway (open at weekends),
We are 25 minutes drive from Gatwick Airport (you can park here free of charge) and 4 miles from Haywards Heath with fast trains to London, Gatwick and Brighton.
If traveling by train from London, Haywards Heath is generally the most convenient station as taxis are readily available. Balcombe is about the same distance but is a small rural station with no taxi rank.
