For a peaceful Kingdom of Fife countryside break with a large dollop of luxury and lots of stylish, designer touches included, head for the snazzy shepherds huts at Capledrae Farm. The smart wooden huts are well insulated and – thanks to central heating and underfloor heating – very cosy, so you’ll stay warm in any chilly Scottish weather. Each one sleeps up to two and has a unique individual design, with bespoke artworks and pretty furnishings, double beds and ensuites with powerful showers.
Maggie has earned the top host award from AirBnB twice and is a 'SuperHost'.

Dedicated hikers may choose to access the Fife Pilgrim Way at Crosshill (five minutes) as it wynds its way north to St Andrews. Cycling families can follow the looped Old Railway Track Trail (15 minutes), and horse riding is available within five minutes drive.
You can also gallop on horseback along the West Sands beach in St Andrews (half an hour), stalk the ghost in the romantic ruins of the cathedral and explore the waterside castle.
The lively town of Perth (also half an hour) is known for its concert hall and theatre, and is a gateway to landmarks including late- medieval Huntingtower Castle (half an hour) and Scone Place (the former coronation site of Scots kings, 35 minutes).
Family days out in Edinburgh (half an hour) could include a stroll up the historic Royal Mile to the Castle and a picnic in leafy Princes Street Gardens, while arty types should take a look at the masterpieces in the Scottish National Gallery or have a stroll around the elegant Georgian architecture of the New Town.
