The Peak District village of Castleton is situated at the top of the Hope Valley. Steeped in history, the village boasts the Norman Peverill Castle Keep which is in a commanding position keeping an eye on the village and the National Park. It has an array of gift shops, food pubs and a Visitor Centre. Nearby are the villages of Edale, the start of the Pennine Way, Hope and Hathersage with its seasonal outdoor swimming pool.
