The large flat screen TV gives you all the Satellite TV channels, movies, news and sport. USB sockets to charge your devices. There is an in-room fridge to keep your milk and drinks cold and a microwave to warm your breakfast or takeaway.
Come to relax, exercise or to work. There's a table suitable for laptop working and fast free WIFI. We are only 5 minutes to the New forest and 10 minutes to the sea so you will be well located for Forest and cliff top walks or bike rides. Ride horseback or fish in the lakes only 300 metres away. Then explore the wide variety of Old English pubs, restaurants and cafes in The Forest or overlooking the sea.
We look forward to welcoming you.
My name is Yvonne, I work part-time with people with learning difficulties that I find enjoyable and very rewarding. Its lovely here, between the Forest and the Sea, you can visit the beach, trek along the coast to Hurst Castle or enjoy long walks in the Forest. The are many fabulous restaurants and we try them out and recommend the best ones to our guests.
We love to make our guests comfortable in our guest room with its own little Japanese pod bathroom. A continental style breakfast is provided in the room that you can enjoy in private and in your own time. Cooked breakfasts can be found in the many beachside and forest cafes and restaurants nearby.
There is a fridge and microwave for your wine and takeaway so there is no need to eat out all the time, saving you time and money. We provide plates and cutlery and a dish washing service to help you.
We are always on hand to help or advise if needed but our guests are free to enjoy their own space and come and go as they please. There is free parking on the drive.
Beaches and the forest are only 10 minutes drive away, or you can enjoy the passing scenery on our local busses to all local beaches and towns including Bournemouth and Lymington.
We are looking forward to welcoming you to our home and to share the wonderful coast and New Forest area that we live in.
The Neighbourhood
We are located just 5 minutes from The New Forest and 10 minutes to our local beach in Milford-on-Sea. Nearby is the ancient town of Lymington which has a lovely variety of independent shops, cobbled streets and a beautiful quay where you can sit and have a coffee or a meal any time of the day. Take a boat trip around the harbour, swim in the newly refurbished sea water swimming pool or simply relax in the beautiful gardens alongside the marina. On Saturdays there is an extensive market in the High Street. Lymington is also the nearest ferry port for the Isle of Wight.
Fancy cycling through the forest? Hire bikes Brockenhurst station. Horse riding? Try Coombe Stables. Sammy Millers motorcycle museum is worth a walk round, has a café and craft shops.
Enjoy the natural beauty of the New Forest by walking some of the many trails. We have details in our guest guide, but recommend the Tall Trees redwood walk and arboretum. While there, visit the deer sanctuary.
Eating Out
For evening drinks or a romantic meal we like the Old Mill at Gordleton for its riverside gardens and soft lighting, and it’s only 8 minutes’ drive. The Pig in Brockenhurst is a foodie mecca set in a smart manor house and has been recently featured on TV. The menu is locally sourced and is supplemented with fresh produce from the extensive vegetable gardens (well worth a walk round).
Our latest find is the newly refurbished New Wheel Inn at Gordleton (on the way to Lymington), cosy and contemporary with excellent food. Also beautifully refurbished is The Filley Inn between Lymington and Brockenhurst.
For breakfast we recommend the Lighthouse, Milford-on-Sea (almost on the beach) followed by a brisk walk to Hurst Castle. Alternatively the Beachcomber in Barton has excellent fare with stunning sea views towards the Isle of Wight. For a quick local full English, or continental breakfast buffet style try the Three Bells, only 5 minutes walk from Cliftonville.
