It's a crafty and arty space in 2 renovated attic roons (bedroom PLUS a guest sitting room). The bed is a 1.5 double bed. If 2 guests book you can use the sofa bed if you think the double is too small for 2 people. It has a calm and relaxing atmosphere with free Internet and shared cooking facilities in a large farmhouse type kitchen and drink making facilities in the kitchen and guest sitting room, plus electric fleece and 2 fans for summer months.You share the bathroom with host. Towels and bath mat are provided, as is a cereal and toast continental breakfast with coffee and fruit juice and yogurt and fruit. The 2 rooms are on the second floor and the second floor stairs are steeper than the first floor stair- access. Not suitable for children or for people with arthritic hips or knees issues due to attic stairs. It has a wildflower type garden in spring and summer you welcome to sit in. The Salts arts complex is 5 minutes away and it's very close to the railways station, supermarkets, cafes,restaurants, bars and the Saltaire Heritage walk. No TV in the guest rooms but you can use the hosts TV in the reception sitting room.
I love travel and crafts (stained glass, knitting and felting) and have lived in Asia and Europe, My love of other cultures makes me an ideal welcoming host. I am warm and welcoming but give my guests privacy.
Saltaire is a UNESCO heritage village. It’s a great place to visit for walks, weekends and is well known for hosting David Hockney works in the Salts Mill arts complex a few minutes away. It has regular vintage and art exhibitions and an Arts Trail festival in May and a 2 week festival in September. Caroline Street Club and Yard fest 2 minutes away hosts regular jazz and rock music events. A fabulous place to come to at weekends.
