Egret Lodge at The Tranquil Otter (Postcode CA5 6HB) is one of our handful of holiday lodges by the lake on our private, but nationally recognised, a nature reserve known as Thurstonfield Lough. We’re located on the B5307 between the ancient city of Carlisle and the village of Kirkbride along the Solway Coast, the border between England and Scotland. It has been a designated Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty since 1964.
