We had been visiting the lake District for over 20 years and always felt at home here. When Puddle Duck Lodge became available we saw it's potential and decided to make a life changing plunge and run a guest house! We made Puddle Duck Lodge our home in September 2018 and have carried out a regime of improvements and refurbishment that we hope will make your stay with us as comfortable, cosy and enjoyable as possible. The Lodge was built circa 1864 and we believe it has been a guest house for much of its life, it is full of character and has been a labour of love bringing this to life. We hope you love it as much as we do.

In the heart of the English lake district, a world heritage site, Puddle Duck Lodge is located in quiet but very convenient area of the picturesque Bowness on Windermere. It's just a short stroll to many shops, restaurants, pubs, the Beatrix Potter attraction and the steamer piers. We even have friendly local swans that love having their photo taken! A great base for which ever activity you choose in some of the most amazing scenery in the country.
