Tucked away from the North Coast 500 and near to lovely Dornoch, Fourpenny Studio is a fantastic wee cottage in Skelbo. Enjoying views across surrounding fields and out to sea in the distance, you’re only 10 minutes’ walk from sand and the seashore. You can spend a week here with absolute ease. It’s a place to switch off, unwind and recharge. Skelbo is essentially a hamlet, and it has lovely walks that you’ll have pretty much to yourself. Wander the Fourpenny Woods, explore the Coul Links sand dunes, and stroll the vast Embo Sands, all of this within a mile. It’s a delightful spot and staying at Fourpenny Studio you’re perfectly placed to explore at will. Beyond Skelbo, Dornoch is a few minutes’ drive away, a lovely place with excellent food and drink options, a rich history and many places to visit to understand it, and of course another outstanding beach. It has a rather famous golf course too, Royal Dornoch Golf Course, those inclined better book a tee time in advance. There are other hidden gem golf courses nearby though in Tain, Golspie and Brora.
