This old market town serves as the official entrance to the stunning North York Moors National Park, the location of the Heartbeat countryside, with its full complement of facilities and traditional shops, cafes, pubs, and restaurants. Take a journey on the North Yorkshire Moors Steam Railway and visit some of the areas where The Philosopher's Stone was filmed if you're a Harry Potter fan!
