The location was beautiful, out of the way. The host was very accommodating too. We loved the accommodation itself. Good furnishings, kitchen, shower and tv.

Glyn Isa means "lower valley" and was the country home of the Earl of Leicester. We have 10 acres of gardens and land and the house is full of character, beams open fireplaces and antiques, but with all modern conveniences. The surrounding area of Conwy and the Snowdonia National park are well worth exploring, so we do ask that guests vacate the house during the day between 11 and 4 pm if staying in the B&B weather permitting of course. We offer 2 self catering apartments. One is the 1 bedroom lodge for 2 guests, the other a converted Coach house up 1 flight of stairs with 2 en suite king size bedrooms, wood burner and lovely mountain views for 4 guests.
Glyn Isa 17th Century Country House Bed and Breakfast dates back to 1626 and is now our personal home. We offer Bed and Breakfast to adults wising to explore all this lovely area has to offer. My husband and I run the house ourselves and have done so since 1997 We don't have staff, but we do extend an invitation to join us here and will do everything we can to make your stay a happy one. The walls here are 3 feet thick in places and Wifi is not great so don't expect a good internet connection. However this area is so beautiful you won't need it!! You MUST have a car...public transport is not good and taxis are expensive. We also have a family dog, a Welsh Border Colllie, 15 years old called Riley who will be here to entertain you ...or vice versa!!
The medieval town of Conwy is 4 miles away and has Conwy Castle, Aberconwy house, Plas Mawr as well as shops, bars and restaurants. We have the award winning village of Rowen just 1 mile from here with its famous Ty Gwyn pub. The larger Victorian seaside town of Llandudno is just a 10 minute drive. Mount Snowdon is around 30 minutes drive away. This is a most beautiful area, but if you are travelling from London it will take you about 5 hours to get here. We are quite isolated...something to consider if you are used to shops and pubs on your doorstep, Walking and sightseeing are the best ways to experience this lovely part of North Wales.
