About the property
The space we have created is extremely calming, it is very private with its own entrance and separate from the house. In your space there is a good sized shower room complete with dressing gowns and toiletries. Following on from here is a lounge and kitchenette area, there is a reclining sofa with 55 inch smart TV, the TV is online only so no aerial. Please note there are no cooking facilities however we do provide a microwave, toaster & kettle plus a nespresso machine. There is separate double bedroom with open wardrobe & storage. 100% cotton bedding. The bedroom has double doors leading out to your own private pergola with 2 seating areas plus hot tub! There is also cosy lighting & blankets so it’s perfect for the winter months too. The pergola is surrounded by canvas to maintain your privacy, we have left a window in one side of the canvas so you can roll it up see out to watch the birds and squirrels if you wish. We respect your peace & privacy at all times, our garden is next to the chalet so at times you may be able to hear us or Dylan (the dog) but rest assured you space is completely private & enclosed - The hot tub area is not soundproof noise must be kept to a minimum.
We live in the main house with our dog Dylan and love our beautiful old house that was once part of the Osborne house estate - we love the royal history of the place. We are a very quiet couple so you can expect peace and quiet when you stay. We love to provide a cosy comfortable space for our guests! We always give our guests the upmost privacy however should you need help with something please message us and we will be happy to help.
If you’re looking for a place to party this is not it, it’s a quiet cosy cabin meant for relaxing. We have neighbours and live nearby so we appreciate quieter guests. Thank you for your understanding on this :)
The house backs onto Osborne house and all its beautiful gardens so it’s always a must for our guests to visit there, it’s just a 5 minute walk away. Plenty of pubs and restaurants within walking distance. Bus stop right outside the house. 2 minute drive or 20 min walk from the Red Funnel car ferry. Large Waitrose in the town. East Cowes is a quiet town, for more boutique shops, restaurants & cocktails you can take the chain ferry over the river to West Cowes, all within 30 mins walk. Lots of attractions around the island, of course beaches everywhere if you’re visiting in the summer!
We understand that the ferry costs to the island are extortionate at certain times of the year when bringing your car. This is so frustrating and this is having a huge effect on our little business so we thank you for still choosing to come and stay with us. We have lowered our rates to try and subsidise some of the ferry cost. A few tips when it comes to booking your ferry.
- Travel off peak
- Check for discount codes
- Considering coming over by foot passenger (we’re only a 20 min walk away for East Cowes terminal)
