GRETENHAM is an Edwardian town house in the Victorian style in a row of twelve large Edwardian and Victorian houses. Situated on rising ground just off the town centre we are minutes from the local pubs, restaurants, beach, pier, railway and downs. Limited free parking is available on the road outside and further parking is available on adjoining roads. The house is decorated in a contemporary style mixed with antiques, paintings and prints reflecting the arts and crafts period.
The large first floor bedroom has mirrored furniture and a king size bed, giving it a contemporary feel alongside the original features which include an open fireplace. TV with remote control. WIFI. Hospitality tray.
The king-size en-suite bathroom features a large walk-in shower with sliding door and Mira electric shower, washbasin, toilet and heated towel rail with essential toiletries provided including sanitiser.
Full English breakfast is pre-ordered the night before from the menu and is served in the east facing bay window of the bedroom at your selected time between 8.00am and 9.30am. Continental, vegetarian and vegan options available. We are able to cater for any special dietary requirements.
Our standard double bedroom at the rear of the property is ideal for one night visits. The room has a small ensuite with shower, toilet and handbasin. Wall mounted Samsung TV with many channels and extras. Breakfast is served in our lovely arts and crafts inspired lounge in the east facing bay window.

John used to run a local auction house until 2016 and has appeared on various antiques related TV programmes (as the auctioneer and local expert!). Flog It, Antiques Road Trip, Dickinson's Real Deal and others. Lou used to run a popular restaurant in the town but has now retired to concentrate on running Gretenham to our high standards. 9.6 rating.
The house is centrally heated and we will often burn an open fire in our lounge.
Stafford Road leads off the main town centre just a few minutes walk from the beach, downs and pier. Parking in the road is free and unrestricted. If no spaces are available there are adjoining roads which are also free.
As all guests eat separately, social distancing is easy to maintain and you will not have to share facilities with other guests.
Be aware Stafford Road is on a steep hill!
The B&B is situated in a residential street of late Victorian terrace houses directly off the town centre close to shops, pubs, restaurants, beach, pier, railway and downs. Lovely views of the bay from the top of the road. Durlston Country Park is a five minute drive from the property. Parking is available in Stafford Road and surrounding roads and is unrestricted and free.
