周辺エリアの情報
Hawick Haven is situated at the end of the High Street near Drumlanrig Bridge.
The Heart of Hawick is just across the road, where you can have a pizza and coffee overlooking the River Teviot. It has a small cinema and it's a really nice place to just relax.
Borders Textile Towerhouse is also just over the road which tells the story of Hawick's knitting industry and is well worth a visit.
Sainsburys (with an Argos) is about a 15mins walk. There is also a Lidl and Aldi.
In the other direction (at the other end of the High St) there is a Wetherspoon pub (The Bourtree) and a Morrisons. The High St has a couple of independent cafes as well as a Greggs and Costa and several good charity shops and local pubs. You'll also find the Teviotdale Leisure Centre just past Morrisons.
Wilton Lodge Park/Hawick Museum is about a 20min walk. The Borders Distillery is also just around the corner (about a 10/15 min walk) where you can book a tour and find out how Scotland's National Drink is made!
The area is steeped in history and the statue that can be seen from the living room window is that of the Callant Statue.
