We are located just a 5-minute walk from a beautiful isolated sandy shore where you can walk over from Tong beach to Coll beach when the tide is out and discover small caves and rock pools along the way. Your room is very bright and large, containing one double bed and lots of goodies. (milk, bread etc on arrival) You will have access to our SHARED upstairs bathroom. Your bedroom is located next to the back porch, which provides a bit more privacy as no one else comes through there. The upstairs bathroom is the closest to your room which again, is a bit more private. There is a mini-fridge, toaster, microwave and kettle so you can make your cups of tea in the privacy of your own room :) PLEASE EXPECT: - No shared kitchen. - No pets (unless they sleep in your car) - We are a short walk by the beach. We are not ON the beach. - There is no cooker. Please bear in mind we are not a formal B&B, guest-house or hotel. We will leave guests to themselves in their room. Freshwater beach springs - Sometimes storms or the full moon can move a large amount of sand and cover them, so they may not be there.

My mother, Alison, bother Lewis and I live in a large farm house in the beautiful hebrides. Although I manage this profile as I'm better with the internet, the house is in my mothers name and she will most likely greet you on arrival. She is an ex yacht stewardess, so all the little bits you need to feel at home are in the room. Fluent in French (Alison) and English.

Tong is a beautiful little village around a 10 minute drive into Stornoway. We live right next to a little beach with lots of crofts and sheep around. A car is you're best method of transport. There are busses into town that come right by the house but very far apart. I will send you image directions via email a few days before arrival as the village is like a maze.
