For local places to eat out you would do well to try The Tickled Trout at Loynton Lakes or The Cock Inn freehouse at nearby Woodseaves. Being conveniently close to some major trunk roads, Shebdon is a great base for exploring a wide area. For an interesting day out World of Wedgewood gives you a great insight into the pottery history of this area. The Trentham Estate is open all year and welcomes visitors to it’s stunning gardens, events, outdoor markets and wildlife walks. Stafford is a lively market town with plenty of culture and history to discover. Being close to the Shropshire border, Telford and the surrounding area is also within easy reach for exploring. Telford Steam Railway, Ironbridge Gorge and Coalbrookdale Museum are just a few places of interest in this area.
