You are assured a warm welcome at High Greenside Bed and Breakfast. I love baking, so you will be most likely greeted with cakes and I'll put the kettle on! I love meeting new people and having a chat. If a lift to the pub is needed, I could more than likely arrange that for you. I help my father at lambing time feeding the pet lambs, so if you visit around that time of year and you'd like to help bottle feed them, I'm sure you'd enjoy it too. I try and locally source the food for my famous breakfasts, and if you have any special requests or dietary requirements I'm happy to help.

High Greenside Bed and Breakfast is set on a working hill sheep farm at the headwaters of the river Lune and on the fringe of the village of Ravenstonedale. We offer very comfortable accommodation and an amazing full English breakfast in the farmhouse which was converted about 25 years ago from the byres and outbuildings in the farmyard. The rooms have tea and coffee making facilities and biscuits for when your feel you need a snack. The beds have mattress toppers and an extra blanket. There are power showers in two of the rooms and complimentary toiletries provided, and if you've forgotten anything, just ask, I keep a few spare toothbrushes etc. The rooms have the beams showing at the eaves and you can see how old the building (1855) is, the external walls are 3 foot thick and the windows are made of wood. If you are tall you may have to duck down a little, as there is a low beam on the landing area. We have underfloor heating downstairs and radiators upstairs powered by air source heating to keep you cosy.
