Hill View is situated in a quiet lane in the small village of Binegar, on top of the Mendip Hills, within easy reach of all the attractions of Somerset and Avon. This former farmworkers''cottage built in the early 1900s was sympathetically extended to provide generous family accommodation which we share with our dog and several cats. There are fields to the front and rear of the house.
The B & B is a large ground floor room in a newly converted annex which opens onto a pleasant walled garden. This bright airy space has separate access arrangements from the main house and an en suite shower room. There is a comfortable super king sized bed (or two singles) and lounge area in which to relax, providing spacious accommodation for a couple or two single people. Alternatively, the two chair beds in the lounge area convert into 2 singles (10cm narrower than a standard bed) to accommodate amply a family of 3 or 4. There are tea and coffee making facilities in the room and a small fridge stocked with fresh milk and items for your continental breakfast (ham, cheese, yoghurt, fresh orange juice, cereal, toast) to be taken at leisure in your room or on the patio.
We feel very lucky to live in such a beautiful part of the country and look forward to sharing it with our guests whether they are here to enjoy the physical activities on offer such as caving or walking or the cultural attractions of Bath and Bristol and the local area.
We are also able to provide a comfortable desk and office chair for work travellers on request or a travel cot for a child up to the age of 2.
