Kick back and relax in this calm, stylish cottage on the edge of the South Downs National Park in the gated surrounds of Crink House. Trust Cottage is eco friendly and a great retreat overlooking beautiful open fields. We are perfectly placed for exploring the Sussex countryside., the historic town of Lewes, local vineyards and Glyndebourne. Barcombe Mills is a picturesque East Sussex village known for the River Ouse and popular for wild swimming, paddle boarding, cycling and walking.
Originally from the West Country, have lived in London, Copenhagen and now have settled in the beautiful Sussex Downs in a place called Barcombe, just outside Lewes with my wife, two children and our Schnauzer!
Nestled in the stunning Sussex countryside on the edge of the South Downs National Park, Barcombe is a charming village offering scenic beauty, rich history, and a welcoming community. The village boasts a fantastic community owned Village shop; a cosy country pub ‘The Royal Oak; a playpark for the kids and plenty of charming architectural beauty. Nearby explore the historic nearby town of Lewes which is rich in history, with its’ castle, abbey and beautiful period feature architecture. Alternatively take a walk from Barcombe Mills along the picturesque River Ouse with a tranquil boat ride, enjoy delicious food at the renowned ‘Anchor Inn’, or take in the breathtaking countryside on scenic walking trails. Whether you’re seeking a peaceful retreat or an outdoor adventure, Barcombe is the perfect destination.
