If you’d prefer a slower paced getaway, you can enjoy the many restaurants, cafes and independent shops on offer just a short distance away.

Burley Woodhead is a peaceful hamlet located in the heart of the Wharfe Valley. Feel part of the community at The Hermit, the local pub, and enjoy a number of walks in the surrounding countryside or take a stroll near Carr Beck. Just three miles away from Burley Woodhead is the pretty spa town of Ilkley. Ilkley is a dream for those who like to rock climb as the town has the famous Cow and Calf Rocks. With independent boutiques, popular high street stores and delicious delicatessens, the town has a wide variety of shops to discover. You’ll often find vintage fairs in the town centre so we’d definitely recommend taking a look as you explore. If you’d like an afternoon treat, head to Betty’s Tea Room where you can get homemade cakes and pastries. In the summer months, take a trip to Ilkley Lido to make the most of the sunshine. There are also many other attractions nearby such as the mediaeval Manor House and Toy Museum.
