Hey, I’m Lisa - and I’m so happy to welcome you to Kindred.
I love the beach, slow mornings, and keeping life simple - and I’ve tried to reflect that in every part of this space. Hosting gives me so much joy, especially knowing guests can unwind, reset, and enjoy what makes Swanage so special.
When I’m not looking after guests, you’ll usually find me with sandy feet, chasing my two kids along the shoreline, or enjoying quiet moments with a good coffee and a sea breeze.
I hope Kindred gives you the space to rest, connect, and enjoy the little things.
Kindred sits tucked into the hills above Swanage Bay, with the sea on one side and rolling countryside on the other - it’s the kind of place that instantly slows you down. Guests often tell us how peaceful it feels here. There’s space to breathe, to let the kids run free, to drink your coffee slowly, and to end the day with salt in your hair and sand between your toes.
Swanage is a classic British seaside town - full of charm, nostalgia, and beauty. The beach is sandy, safe, and walkable from the caravan, and it’s the heartbeat of the town. Stroll along the Victorian pier, grab fish and chips for lunch, or just sit and listen to the waves. The water is usually calm, perfect for wild swimming, paddle boarding, or letting the kids splash without worry.
Just a short drive (or a beautiful coastal walk) away is Durlston Country Park - a clifftop nature reserve where you’ll find wildflowers, sea birds, and some of the most stunning views along the Jurassic Coast.
Head a little further and you’ll discover Old Harry Rocks, Corfe Castle, and miles of hiking trails.
The town itself is home to brilliant family-run spots: coffee at Carve, pizza at Coastal Crust, local art at the galleries, and some surprisingly good pubs. There’s even a little steam railway that runs to Corfe Castle - a favourite with kids (and secretly, grown-ups too).
We love this place for its simple rhythms and wild edges. Life here is about early swims, stone-skimming competitions, barefoot beach walks, and slow evenings watching the sky turn pink over the bay. Whether you’re looking for adventure, connection, or complete rest - Swanage somehow offers it all.
Welcome to the slower side of Dorset. We hope you love it as much as we do.
