We have 2 self-catering chalets situated on our working croft. We are a rural/remote destination. We are 4 miles from the village of Dunvegan where the nearest shops and restaurants are.
We are about a 30-minute walk from the beautiful Coral Beach.
We farm north country cheviot sheep, chickens, ducks, geese, pigs, and 2 boxer dogs. The chalets were built in December 2019. They have gas central heating and hot water. Lovely large french doors to admire the views of Loch Dunvegan and MacLeods Tables. Each chalet has a kitchenette, which includes an air fryer, toaster, kettle, fridge/freezer, and a 2 ring gas hob. They have a large shower en suite with a heated towel rail. Each chalet is fenced off with a grass area with a picnic bench and BBQ with views off Loch Dunvegan, The Minch, and The Outer Hebrides.
There is coffee, tea, herbal tea, coffee for the cafeteria, fresh milk, some butter/spread, and homemade jam made from our homegrown fruit left for guests.
We also have 'Croft and Creel Trail' which is a walk through our croft to our shoreline which is perfect for walking dogs, most of the time there are no livestock so dogs can be let of their leads for a good run!
We ask all dog owners not to shower their dogs in the chalets. We have a hose pipe and we can provide extra towels.
We live on site so any problems or questions we are always contactable. When you arrive at our chalets we meet you at our house and then we take you to your chalet. Show you around then we leave you to enjoy your stay with us. We are always busy with the sheep but if you would like to help or watch what we do you are more than welcome.
We are a rural/remote destination. From Dunvegan Castle, you come a long a single track road. It takes about 10 minutes but is worth the views and peacefulness. We have no light pollution, so the stars are amazing on a winters night.
We are a 30-minute walk from the beautiful Coral Beach and 4 miles from the Dunvegan Castle. On the drive from the chalets to Dunvegan, the seals can be seen on the small islands. We have a plentiful wide life to be seen, including deer, sea eagle, and certain times of the year, porpoise and dolphins, which can be seen from your chalet with views up Loch Dunvegan.
