The bedroom has a comfy double bed with sheets provided, and it is also equipped with a well-lit dressing table and stool. There is also a sofa bed in the living room. The bathroom is newly furnished to a high standard, and towels are provided. You’ll have your own garden space so you can dine alfresco or enjoy a drink under the glass veranda. Hi! We are your hosts, Amanda and Martin, engaged couple (on the list of things to do!). We are both from York and actually went to the same secondary school together. Our love story started when we bumped into each other in a bar in York about five years ago, and our mutual love for hosting has brought us here, we hope you enjoy your stay with us. Neighbourhood highlights The village of Copmanthorpe has all the basics you could need with - a Good local Pub, Co-Op, Pharmacy, Library, two Cafés (if you can’t be bothered cooking breakfast in the morning), hair & beauty salon, Fish and chips, Pizza takeaway, Chinese and two Curry houses all within walking distance from the property. Easy access for countryside walks, and excellent links for bike rides. The local picturesque village of Acaster Malbis offers peaceful river walks. Plus, a marina on your doorstep. We are very close the the wedding venue - The Normans, Bilbrough. Getting around There are Regular Bus routes to and from: York City Centre, York Racecourse, Askham Bryan, York College, the North Yorkshire coast & countryside from the village. It’s a 15-minute Taxi (~10/13 pounds) from York Station to the property. Buses run regularly or park and ride 5 mins away, near Tesco (Askham Bar). We're a 12-minute drive to/from York Racecourse.
