Amotherby is a small village situated on the edge of The North York Moors National park, the village has two lovely pubs and Bentleys Village shop to stock up on essentials and locally sourced produce, an excellent base for exploring all the beautiful area has to offer. The historic town of Malton just a 5 minute drive away is known as the Yorkshire Capital of Food and boasts a wonderful monthly food fayre, with many artisans and makers producing award wining products. Flamingo Land, theme park and award winning zoo offer an action packed day for all the family, or take in some modern history at Eden Camp.
Perfect for all ages, Flamingo Land, is just a 15 minute drive away. Known as Yorkshire's ultimate Theme Park attraction including it's very own award winning zoo, it really is perfect for a full day out with the family.
A short drive away the small market town of Helmsley has a wide variety of independent shops and eateries, a Medieval castle and Walled garden. You can visit the magnificent Castle Howard a stately home with landscaped gardens, or catch a steam train from Pickering on The North Yorkshire Moors Railway, now famous for the filming of the Indiana Jones and the Dial of Destiny, book an afternoon tea on board and marvel at the stunning scenery whilst chugging your way from Pickering to Whitby on the coast.
