We offer you a private double bedroom (1 double bed only), en-suite bathroom, dining room and living room in our beautiful family home, ‘Loughview’, a three storey Victorian terrace, on the edge of Bangor with stunning panoramic sea views over Belfast Lough.
You will be the only guests staying with us and you will not need to share facilities. We would kindly ask you to note that there is only 1 double bed in the bedroom and it is NOT a twin room.
Our open plan living and dining rooms on the ground floor are private for your use. Relax here on our two leather sofas and armchair and enjoy the sunset or tune into the TV. The open plan aspect links to a dining room with a six-seater table and views out to our back patio area.
There is a self-service continental breakfast and a small fridge, toaster, kettle and a microwave.
The guest double bedroom and en-suite bathroom is on the first floor.
There is a kettle in the bedroom with tea and coffee making facilities. Beside the bedroom is a book nook; with a cosy armchair and our personal collection of books for your perusal. Weather permitting, you may soak up the sea views on lounge chairs in our private front garden patio area.
I am a teacher and an artist. I can be contacted anytime via mobile or email and will arrange self check in and check out details upon booking.
Loughview is on the edge of Bangor, a vibrant coastal town with great local amenities on our doorstep. We will recommend excellent restaurants, cafes, pubs, live music and other activities nearby. The street is quiet with panoramic sea views over Belfast Lough and the Irish Sea. Within a 5 minute walk from the house you can enjoy fresh sourdough and cheese delights in the deli around the corner; a wander around the marina and Pickie Fun Park; fine dining; stand-up paddle boarding or a boat trip around Belfast Lough.
Throughout the year Bangor hosts various festivals; including The Open House Festival; Maritime Festival and Seaside Revival Festival. There are also frequent sailing competitions.
We are situated 8.9 miles from Belfast City Airport, and 15 miles from Belfast city centre. Our house is just 0.5 miles (12 min walk) from the Bangor train and bus station and is situated on the Mourne Coastal Route. There is a beautiful coastal path, which winds its way from Bangor to Crawfordsburn, Helen’s Bay and Holywood. In the other direction you can explore Ballyholme, Groomsport and Donaghadee, as well as the peninsula.
