Lower Thura House We have just installed Full Fibre Optic Cable direct to the House - WIFI and Netflix all free of charge. The House is warm and cosy, with plenty space to relax. The spacious kitchen has original beams which gives a wow factor! when you walk in, full of character with modern kitchen appliances, brings this house right up to date. There is a conservatory adjoining the kitchen where you can relax and socialise and enjoy the mature garden with shrubs and roses. The Living room has a feature Caithness stone wall, with a wood burner. The bedrooms are all spacious with kingsize beds. There are two bathrooms, both with showers, one has a bath, which is historical, as it is the original first bath in Bower. Utility room has a washing machine, tumbler drier, airing racks. washing line outside with pegs. Freezer. Private parking for two cars at entrance of house. Oil central heating and wood burner.
My name is Jenny my husband is James, We farm a mixed arable farm. We are from this area. I trained in hospitality and enjoy meeting people, I have good local knowledge of the area, which I can share with the guests. I enjoy travel, socialising, cooking and gardening.
Lyth Art Centre is 1 mile, Castletown Heritage Centre is 5 miles. Wick Heritage is 10 miles Castle of Mey -The Late Queen Mum’s home and gardens is 7 miles John O’ Groats 14 miles , Orkney day tours, depart daily May to September, Dunnet Beach, Sinclair and Girnigoe, Whaligoe Steps Gills Bay Ferries to Orkney Depart daily is 9 miles- Pentalina Eating out: Castletown Hotel, Northern Sands Hotel, Dunnet. Red Pepper, Thurso, Bordeleau, Wick. Mackays Hotel No 1 Bistro Wick.
