I was raised on a local family farm and have always enjoyed country life and activities. Walking within this beautiful area with my springer spaniel is a relaxing pastime, I know many routes which I'm happy to share. I am married with three almost grown up children (twins at University and one now qualified as primary teacher) life has been very busy. Having worked many years within banking and finance I took redundancy. I then set up the holiday cottage endeavouring to provide a home from home (Website hidden by Airbnb) true passion has always been horses, riding from a young age, some competing. I am conscientious and trustworthy always wanting the best, so I hope you feel confident booking with me.
I live within Lynton and am knowledgeable about Exmoor and surrounding area. Am very happy to give any input which will make your stay all the more enjoyable.
Lynton and Lynmouth nestle delightfully on the coast of Exmoor - where National Park meets the sea. Beautiful walks - short or long - are available literally right from your doorstep, including the stunning Valley of Rocks and Watersmeet Valley, while Boat trips offer some of the most rugged and spectacular coastal scenery in Britain. Lynmouth harbour is very pretty at twilight, and on a clear night, a star-gazing walk beneath unpolluted skies is a 'must' since here, you are in an 'Internationally Dark Sky Reserve'. Lynton has two small supermarkets, post office, deli, eateries, pubs, restaurants, GP, library and cinema plus interesting shops
There are regular bus routes to Barnstaple and Minehead (open top bus) bus stop 100 yards away from the house. Our main town Barnstaple has a train station with links all over the South West and beyond. Taxi services within Lynton .
