Pensilva is a moorland village with its origins in Cornwalls tin mining history. This part of Bodmin Moor has all the raw beauty of a wilderness with many well known landmarks including the rugged Cheesewring Quarry, where granite was taken to build Plymouths Devonport Dockyard, and also the remote village of Minions, home of the famous Hurlers stone circles.
