Positioned on Chailey Common, a Local Nature Reserve and SSI in East Sussex, it is a stunning, spacious barn conversion with contemporary styling and lovely design touches, perfect for a romantic getaway. The sumptuous sitting room offers comfy sofas, a cosy log burner and lovely spiral stairs up to the first floor. The kitchen is fully-equipped and includes an induction range cooker, fridge, freezer, dishwasher and washer-dryer. There is also a boot room with WC downstairs.
Upstairs the bright, spacious bedroom has built-in wardrobes, a king-size bed and views over the Common. Next door, the decadent bathroom boasts a deep double-end bath, separate walk-in rainfall shower, and comes complete with bathrobes and slippers (please leave in the cottage on departure!). Outside you also have a good-sized private walled garden and half an acre of woodland. One of the finest cosy cottages in Sussex, Mill Barn offers a perfect blend of warmth and luxury.
LOCAL AREA:
Step out of the door and straight onto Chailey Common for plentiful walks across this pretty SSI landscape. Sheffield Park Gardens, the Bluebell Railway, Ridgeview Wine Estate and Bluebell Vineyards are all within a 10-minute drive. Further afield, head to Lewes and enjoy wandering the pretty centre of this historic market town, visit Brighton, or book early for Glyndebourne Opera.

- This property has a security deposit of GBP200, we will contact you after booking to arrange.
- Once you have placed your booking request, before we can process your booking we will require some simple additional details such as postal address, guest names and direct email. Please do not book if you are unable to provide this information, as we cannot offer a refund on this basis.
- Arrival and departure times are clearly stated. As our properties can be booked right up until the last minute, we are unable to confirm early check-in or late check-out requests until 24-72 hours prior to your arrival/departure. Should you prefer to guarantee any such request now, please add an additional night to the start and/or end of your booking.
- Pets: generally not allowed. However one small, well-behaved dog may be considered on advance request, at the owner's discretion. If the request is accepted, a dog will be charged at GBP30 per week or part week.
- Accessibility: There is one step (15cm) to the front door threshold. Spiral staircase to the first floor. Other internal floors are level and even. This is intended as a guide only and accuracy is not guaranteed, please contact us if you need more info. Measurements are approx.
- Kitchen: Electric Everhot range cooker with induction hobs (pots and pans provided) and double oven, slimline dishwasher, fridge, freezer, washer-dryer, double butler sink, microwave, toaster, kettle, 2 cafetieres & fresh coffee.
- 1 babe in arms (max 1 year old and not walking) is welcome with advance notice. 1 travel cot (bedding provided) and 1 highchair available on advance request.
- The property has a spiral staircase to access the first floor and a wood burner which gets very hot, please bear this in mind if bringing an infant.
