It is designed specifically for business people, families with up to 2/3 older children, couples wanting to escape to the countryside. The Lodge, constructed from Scandinavian log & with French oak flooring throughout, is powered by a renewable air-source heat system. Upstairs: 2 king-sized bedrooms, 1 single bed & 1 travel cot available on request. Both en-suite bathrooms have large-headed showers. Les Cévennes bathroom has a luxurious freestanding bathtub. Downstairs: entrance hall, cloakroom, kitchen & large dining/living area with access to our garden which surrounds the Lodge. High chair available. As part of your experience at Netherton, you'll be able to enjoy our 100% pure soaps made locally. Essential provisions for a couple of days are provided. These including some milk, tea, coffee, bread & some butter. Regarding Children Safety and Fire Safety, please note the following: - NO STAIR GATES. Children safety is entirely the responsibility of parents throughout their stay. - TRAVEL COT on request but NO mattress provided for health reasons. - For FIRE SAFETY & strict fire regulations, guests are NOT allowed to use the log burning stove AT ALL.

NETHERTON FARM HOUSE is a SAFE & friendly lodge. We follow all safety measures as per government guidelines. You are assured of a warm welcome from your hosts, David & Noëlle, who are both fluent in English & French. We speak some Spanish & Italian. On your arrival, you will be met by Noelle who will offer advice/help if required. Information on safety, local activities, restaurants, shops & places to visit, etc is available in our House Folder. You'll also find essential provisions for your first couple of days including teas, bread, fresh milk, coffee & some butter in the fully-equipped kitchenette. We have a variety of board & family games. You can relax in a hot bath, or enjoy your favourite Netflix movie, surrounded by the Lodge's rustic charm and soft furnishings. Plenty of additional storage available for golf clubs, fishing rods and outdoor clothing. Washing machine, drying facilities & iron are available for guests.

We are less than an hour away from the sensational North East whisky distillery trail with famous names such as Glenfiddich, Macallan, Aberlour, Glenfarclas & our local Glen Garioch. (20 mins drive) . New Gin Distilleries are also springing up in the region which is home to the BrewDog Brewery. David worked in the drinks industry for years & will be delighted to advise on drams and tours! We're on the famous ‘Castle Trail’ & you can visit some of the 300+ stunning castles. There are more castles here than anywhere else in the UK! Fishing: salmon & trout fishing is available on the Rivers Dee, Don & Deveron. River Don bookings on our own & other stretches can be made via the Fish Pal website. Hiking & Walking: there are great local walks starting on our door step with the ruins of the 13th Centrury Bishops Palace & cycle trails including Bennachie (a pre-historic & extinct volcano, 10 mns drive) and, of course, the mountains and lochs of Upper Deeside on the edge of the Cairngorms. Kemnay village is 3 mns drive or 25mns walk alongside the river Don. Golf: 60 golf courses in the region from Royal Aberdeen, the 6th oldest golf in Scotland, to our local, high quality Kemnay course.
