Situated on a small holding, New Bury cottage is a Private self catering home with 2 bedrooms,(one bedroom has its own cloakroom toilet). a spacious living room with a wood burning stove (wood supplied), a shower room (please note no bath shower only)and a kitchen with dining space. There is a sheltered entrance porch at the front, allowing seating and open to the garden and parking area with ample Parking and an EV Charging Point.. The kitchen diner is downstairs with a staircase up to the living spaces. We are very close to the A27 which allows quick access to many surrounding towns and areas, Goodwood is 5 minutes away, Chichester and Arundel 10 minutes. The Southdowns too are in close proximity as well as the beaches of Witterings and Bognor Regis. We have chickens, and 2 dogs at the adjoining property but out of view of the guest
We have lived here since 2011 and recently added an extention to the property for holiday lets. Wayne is local to the area and i myself from Yorkshire We live close to Good-wood with its many events including the famous festival of speed, Fontwell race course , Chichester water-sports which is set on a 40 acre lake, offering water skiing paddle-boarding kayaking and an aqua park and Tinwood Estate winery offering tours & tasting are all within a 5 minute drive. Within 15 You can visit the Historical city of Chichester which boasts a Norman cathedral. Visit the Novium museum with lots of local information or go on a walking tour by guide and learn of the city and its past. Just a mile or so from the city is the border of Britain's newest national park. Midhurst is the location of the South Downs national park and provides many learning resources for exploring the park. Midhurst itself is a market town with many listed buildings and the ruins of Cowdray Castle. Nearby lies Petworth and is home to the national trusts "Petworth house" with grounds designed by Capability Brown and housing the National trusts largest Art collection.
Arundel is within 20 mins from us . A town dominated by its imposing castle home to the Duke of Norfolk, The town has many fascinating old buildings which have found new uses as high end antique shops and specialty shops. Nearby is the Wild foul and Wetlands Trust which provides a habitat for native and migratory waterfowl and has over a mile of pathways and hides from which it is possible to observe the birds. Less than an hour east of Chichester is Brighton . For a unique shopping experience explore the Lanes with its narrow alley ways its many quirky shops and eateries,Wander down to the front and walk along the beach promenade and while your there visit the newest attraction the 450 foot high i360 observation tower .We also have Portsmouth, dedicated to its military history the Historic Dockyard and HMS Victory. and lets not forget Bognor Regis and Witterings for the Beaches.
