Located in the heart of the quiet village of Penygroes, Caernarfon. Perfect for exploring the Llyn Peninsula, Snowdon, Dinas Dinlle & Caernarfon town.
Hi I'm Justyn and I am lucky to be the owner of 2 holiday cottages in Penygroes near Caernarfon.
I purchased an old building that was once a Labour Exchange and converted it into 2 holiday cottages. They have been designed to be light and airy with high ceilings and are finished in a very modern style. They can be rented together if required.
I hope you enjoy your stay in North Wales with its stunning scenery, great walks and superb places to dine out.
Our local housekeeper is available for you during your stay.
Penygroes is a quiet village with a variety of shops, cafes, takeaways and a traditional pub. The Lon Eifion cycle path follows the route of the now closed railway line and is a 5 minute walk from the cottage. On the outskirts of the village you will find Pant Du vineyard where you can buy wine made from their own grapes or enjoy some lunch in the restaurant (booking usually required).
The best way to explore the local area is by car. Caernarfon town centre and Dinas Dinlle beach are both a 10 minute drive away. The Llyn peninsula to the south is well worth exploring with several beautiful beaches and many small coastal villages. The Italianate village of Portmeirion made famous by Patrick McGoohan's cult TV series The Prisoner is a 30 minute drive away. Mount Snowdon is ten miles to the east with several starting points for walks up to the summit or you can take a steam train to the top from Llanberis (during high season) if you prefer.
