We are Lyn and Bob and have owned Oak Lodge since the end of 2016. We are committed to ensuring each of our guests enjoy their stay here and aim to provide first class accommodation with a friendly and homely atmosphere. Many of our guests return every year for their holiday and we are delighted when they do! We are also open over the winter months and welcome guests who wish to stay whether it be overnight stays or a short break.

Oak Lodge is a contemporary, architect designed house with stunning views across the pretty village of Stratton. Each room is light and airy and the breakfast room is a particular feature of the property with bi-folding doors which open on to a lovely decking area wihere guests can relax over a cup of tea or glass of wine at the end of the day. The two king size rooms are at the rear of the property overlooking the garden and countryside. There are two further rooms, a twin with private exterior bathroom and our Acorn annex at the front of the property which is on the ground floor, perfect for guests who can no longer manage the stairs.

Stratton is a lovely little village just outside Bude which is a very pleasant 20 minute walk away or a 5 minute drive. There are two good pubs in the village which are a ten minute walk from Oak Lodge. There are wonderful beaches all along the coast Some are dog friendly all year, others for part of the year. There are stunning cliff and canal walks and cycle path rides, For the more active there is a splash pool with a flume, sports hall, indoor and outdoor tennis courts, horse riding, surfing, ten pin bowling and crazy golf. The popular villages of Boscastle, Clovelly, Tintagel and Port Isaac are only 30 mins drive with plenty of other little villages to explore on the way. The beautiful harbour of Padstow is an hour away and Land's End and St. Ives, although a bit further, are a lovely day trip from here. There are wonderful walks along the coast path and also Bodmin Moor and Dartmoor are a short drive away.
