Oak lodge is a luxury 'Carpenter Oak' framed contemporary building finished to a high specification. We are ideally situated in a quiet hamlet for walking holidays or short breaks. The nearby public footpath provides direct access to moorland walks. We are near the Tavistock golf course, are a convenient base for several of the the national cycle network routes and moorland riding. The luxury accommodation is designed around a 'Carpenter oak' frame to maximise the open plan spacious living area which provides easy access to the outside. Underfloor heating throughout the building will maintain the environment at a comfortable temperature during your stay. The fitted kitchen is well equipped with a range of cooking utensils, electric fan cooker/ceramic hob, washer-dryer, dishwasher and fridge. The large double ensuite bedroom is enhanced with the detail of the exposed oak frame and posts. A comfortable pocket sprung mattress sits on the King size bed, the room is furnished with bedside tables, wardrobe and chest of drawers. The bathroom is spacious with a walk in shower, heated towel rail, underfloor heating and storage dresser.

We live across the drive on the same site as Oak lodge. Our guests are very welcome and we endeavour to ensure their stay is comfortable. Although we live on site, we respect guests privacy and hope they enjoy the peaceful and private setting set back from the road yet with easy access to Dartmoor national park.

Oak lodge is situated within the Dartmoor national park. We are in a quiet hamlet, just 2.4 miles from the ancient stannary and market town of Tavistock on the river Tavy. The historical town has restaurants, pubs, Meadowlands park, tennis and swimming pool. The Tavistock Wharf provides music, cinema, theatre and art. We are 1.3 miles from the Tavistock golf course which is situated to take in the stunning Dartmoor scenery.
