Welcome to The Orchard Retreat, home to our lovingly hand made shepherds hut “Teds Shack”. Located within the orchard, next to our small family sheep farm in the heart of the Shropshire hills and just 5 miles from the historic town of Shrewsbury
Opened in 2023, our fully insulated hut with private car park sleeps 2 and contains an en suite shower room, comfortable bed, tv, microwave, heating, tea/coffee making facilities with a indoor and outdoor seating area, fire pit (logs can be purchased on site) and hammock to sit out and enjoy our tranquil location.
We have recently completed our latest addition, “Teds snug” which provides our guests with an extra space to enjoy; a seating area, table and fire.
Just 50 yards away is a friendly, adult only 5 star holiday park where you can order a drink at the bar and home made food (food is weekends only). A shop and Indian restaurant/takeaway is located a 2 minute drive away.
We are situated less than 3 miles from Rowton Castle, a popular wedding venue. We are a 5-10 minute drive from the large village of Pontesbury with a variety of amenities as well as being home to Pontesford (Earls) Hill and other popular, scenic walking routes.
