Plas Robin is a large and well placed country home, set within 35 private acres of glorious Montgomeryshire countyside.
Our guest suite, 'Robin's Nest' is very spacious and luxuriously appointed throughout. A large bedroom area with super-king sized bed, superior mattress and top-end bed linen is extremely comfortable and enjoys uninterrupted, panoramic views from its floor to ceiling glazed gable windows to the Severn valley beyond. The oak stable door can be opened to fully enjoy the wonders of this beautiful countryside location. In summer, why not enjoy a morning coffee from the bistro set on the balcony?
Leading off from the master bedroom suite, you will find a very well appointed Dressing room with expansive fitted wardrobes, full length mirror and Dressing table with mirror. Also within this room, you will find a mini fridge, Nespresso coffee machine, kettle, complimentary tea and coffee, biscuits and welcome cakes plus organic milk from our own organic dairy in the village - 'Daisy Bank Dairy'. The luxurious bathroom hosts a stand alone bath and separate walk in shower with rainfall waterfall shower. Designer tiles and decor make this a sumptuous retreat to enjoy.
David's family have lived and farmed here since the early 1900's and we are proud to be continuing the family tradition of offering a very warm Welsh welcome to our guests - or 'Croeso' as we say in these parts!
We love to meet and welcome our guests and introduce them to the delights of this very special and beautiful place. Llandyssil is a small and pretty village with many interesting walks to explore, directly from your doorstep. The village church is handsome and welcoming and sells local produce and plants from its Honesty box in the vestubil. Our village is truly like stepping back in time and offers an authentic slice of 'country life'! Only reached by a quiet country lane, and then reaching Plas Robin by a private road, you are assured a tranquil break with only the gentle sounds of country life to relax and settle to.
David and I are so enthusiastic about the many delightful places to visit and explore in the surrounding area and look forward to sharing these with you and help plan your days.
Llandyssil is an extremely quiet and gentle village, reached only by quiet country lanes. There is no 'through-traffic'. We are blessed with abundant wildlife and from Robin's Nest you can sit back and enjoy the delights of this rural idyll; Red kites swoop overhead, buzzards, kestrels can all be spotted too. At night, we have many resident owls who keep us entertained with their twit-twooing!
Montgomery, our beautiful Royal Charter town, is just a 1.8 mile walk away. Home to a lovely selection of interesting and independent artisan shops and eateries. Montgomery Castle is a wonderful historical place from the 12th century with many stories to tell - a CADW site and free to explore . From here you will find spectacular views of the neighbouring Shropshire countryside, reaching far and wide. St Nicholas Church in the centre of Montgomery dates from the 12th Century and is home to a spectacular display of stained glass windows.
