Perfectly placed to explore both the stunning Pembrokeshire coast path and beaches and the wild Preseli hills. Polly's Barn is just a mile from popular Newport with its delightful cafes and restaurants, boutique shops and beautiful sandy beach. Ideal for couples who love outdoor pursuits or just want to get away from it all in the peace and tranquillity of the Preseli hills. Luxuriate in the super king size bed, relax on the sun terrace or snuggle up on the sofa in front of the log burner. You’ll have the whole property to yourself as well as sole use of the front and rear terraces and access to the beautiful meadows front and back and direct access onto the moorland of the Preseli Hills. As the property is in a rural, moorland location, access is up an off-road track, just off the Mountain West road. There are various options for access and parking depending on the suitability of the guests' car and confidence in driving off the tarmac road.

Emma and Tim are your hosts for your stay. We live at Penrhyn with our two children, two dogs and two ponies. We will meet you on arrival so that we can give you all the information you need for your stay. Emma grew up in the area and we have lived on Mountain West for last the 15 years so we can provide you with lots of information on the area should you need it. Being a busy family we may not always be around but if we are we welcome any questions you have. We are happy to provide a walking itinerary for you, give transport details or provide lifts to out of the way locations if you want to walk back to the house. We can also provide food hampers and prepare packed lunches for you for an additional fee. We welcome couples with a baby or toddler and can offer a travel cot and high chair free of charge as well as babysitting services for an additional fee. Wild camping is available on our land for a small fee if you wish to extend your party as long as you are happy for them to share your en suite bathroom.

The bustling town of Newport is a lovely 20 minute walk, or less than 5 minute drive, away. Newport sits on the mouth of the Nevern estuary and has the lovely Newport Sands beach nearby as well as the “Parrog”, or seafront at the bottom of town with access to a small beach at low tide, a boat club with bar and lovely walks along the coast path. The town is packed with shops, cafés and pubs and boasts a small supermarket, a butchers, wholefood shop, post office and hardware store. There are 4 pubs, 5 cafes/restaurants, a host of artisan and gift shops, an art gallery and a weekly market every Monday morning attracts a range of local crafts and food suppliers.
