There is no mobile phone service in our remote little shepherds hut so it is a perfect get away from busy lives. There is wifi available on the yard if you need to connect just ask and we can give you the password. Set on a working farm in the Llawenog valley, the hut is on the edge of nant Llawenog (stream) surrounded by sheep and cows.
The hut is set in its own patch, fenced off, with a place to park so the cows don't pay you a visit through the night and have an itch on the cabin!
The cabin is very easily accessible by car. Please note there are 3 small steps to get up into the cabin itself.
JGB Sporting have shooting rights on our lands from September to Feburary. So please if shooting isn’t your thing check with me when you book and I can make sure there is no shoot on your dates.
We also have a motorcross track which is usually open on a Sunday, with the occasional championship round which means there are a lot of bikes and campervans around, I do try and shut these dates off but please check if motor cross bikes aren’t your thing.
Guests are welcome to use the track with their own bikes.
In the hut we have a 2 ring gas stove in the hut and utensils are provided. We also provide bed linen, towels and toiletries and wood for the fire.
My husband and I farm here along with our children and my in laws. We enjoy getting away when time permits to have our own little booking .com breaks and a walk up a mountain.
The hut is quite remote but in our local village (Llanarmon Dyffrin Ceiriog) which is 2.5 miles away we have two lovely pubs, The Hand and The West.
Our local shop is in Glyn Ceiriog which is 7 miles away.
there is a chip shop in Llanrhyader (cash only) which is 10 miles away, another in Llanfyllin which is 16 miles away or a range of take aways in Chirk which is 10 miles away.
There are also many beautiful walks with Moel Sych and Pystyll Y Rheader no more than 5 miles away.
