This contemporary apartment is an annexe to our Georgian house where we live, built by us in 2005 where the barn used to be. Used until recently by a relative, we are now opening up to wider visitors. You enter the property into the lounge and kitchenette. Upstairs is the master bedroom and shower room (plus toilet). Outside there is a bench beside our garden hedge, and you are welcome to use the bench at the bottom of the garden too.

We live in the market town of Hay on Wye, in a Georgian house that my husband and I renovated in 2000. A few years later we converted our lean-to barn into a 1 bedroom apartment for friends and rental. The last twelve years it has been used by a close relative, but my daughter and I are now opening it up to the public again.

Hay on Wye is a lovely market town, nestled into the Black Mountains and sitting on the River Wye. Hay is renowned for its bookshops, but also has a number of independent clothes and vintage shops as well as numerous cafes, restaurants and a cinema. Don't forget to check out the recently renovated castle too.
